Holiday Party Reservation

Below is the form to complete by November 8 to attend this year’s Holiday Party.  You can reach Nancy to check or call at the last minute for reservations. We had a fantastic time last year and hope that you will be able to attend this year since is not on a work day.  Bring a friend and introduce them to this wonderful sport and fellowship. 

Hope to see you all Oct. 7 at the Downtown Cleveland walk starting at Eatery in Terminal Tower and at Creekside Restaurant on November 11.

Thanks again for your continued support without you our club would not exist. Special thanks to all the volunteers, event coordinators, and officers for making our club possible.

Bonnie Park Walk

Look forward to seeing everyone on our first walk of the season starting at shelter in Bonnie Park in Strongsville off of Pearl Road. Start if from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. finish by 3:30 p.m. There are two five ks both flat. Should be a lot of fun. There is a zip line cross on the trail for the adventuresome. OF COURSE, brownies for nourishment. For those wanting two do 2 events you are only 5 miles away from the Berea start city or park trail walk.  

Please note Kent is closed now until can find a new start place.  Our June walk is at Brecksville Railroad station start where you have a flat 5k and a hilly 5k to Harriet Keeler Shelter. There is a nature center there. We are going to be joined by the Cleveland Hiking club.

Holiday Party

Hope everyone is ready to party Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Creekside restaurant in Brecksville. Please let me know if need a vegetarian dish versus our great meat buffet. In addition, there will be a $25 Get N Go gas drawing. Everyone coming will be eligible!!  Are you ready to party!! We have our own room. Bring a guest! Return your form and check to Karen Birt by Nov. 28.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON

MARK CALENDARS FOR OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON ON DECEMBER 1 FROM 1:30 P.M. TO 4:30 P.M., THURSDAY, AT CREEKSIDE RESTAURANT IN BRECKSVILLE, OH. We will have our own private room, A buffet meal of Lemon Chicken, Burgundy Beef Tips, Oven Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans with Pastry Tray, and Kolochky Tray for the individual price of $25. Alcoholic drinks are available at your expense. For vegetarians, we have a great primavera dish.

Tremont Walk

Karen Birt and Jan Henderson outdid themselves with a fantastic 5 and 10k trail starting at Burger King in Steelyard commons. Thanks to all the members who came with some bringing guests. Burger King was a great host! It was their idea for the group picture. 21 enjoyed the trail. 

Our next group club walk is 5k University Circle where we will meet at the Tennis Court below the VA hospital on September 17 at 10 a.m.

Business Meeting – April 23rd

Our annual business meeting will be held at Berea Depot on April 23 at 12:30.

If you plan on doing the 5k city walk, please meet in the parking lot of Berea Depot at 11 a.m.

Please let Deva know by email or phone by Thursday, April 21 if planning to attend the walk and meeting or just the meeting. Thank you!

CANCELLED: Polar Bear Walk – Saturday, January 8, 2022

Hello Valley Vagabonds Walkers,
Due to lack of interest and very cold weather, we have canceled the group Polar Bear walk for this Saturday, January 8th. Of course, you are welcome to do this year-round walk any day of the year. The walk box with 5K and 10K directions is at the front check-in desk at the Renaissance Hotel. 


We look forward to seeing everyone at our Business Meeting/Walk on Saturday, April 23rd aft the Berea Depot. Take good care and stay warm everyone.
